St. Mary’s Wins MAYB Tourney

St. Mary's 6th and 7th grade girls' basketball team has entered into independent play in the Mid-America Youth Basketball League with tournaments being held all over the United States.  Last year over 3700 teams from throughout the USA Canada and Mexico participated.  Over 560 teams from 23 states and Canada competed in the final tournament.

On June 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, the St. Mary's squad under the name of Tenn Tex competed at the University School of Jackson against schools from Lakewood, Memphis and Mississippi in the 6/7 Division and won first place.  This win qualifies them for the National Tournament to be held  August 3rd through the 6th in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  Congratulations, girls!!!
